About Partner & Goal of Project

ABOUT: Baghdad Women Association is a women-led Iraqi national NGO established in 2004 and operating in four governorates and seven districts across Iraq. Driven by our vision of equal protection, participation, and access to basic human rights for women and girls in Iraq, our mission is to eliminate all forms of violence and discrimination against women and girls in Iraq by providing psychosocial support services to women survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), advocating for legislative amendments for greater legal protection of women in Iraqi law, and increasing women’s political participation and leadership in Iraqi society.

PROJECT GOAL: Contribute to increasing meaningful participation and decision-making of women in conflict prevention processes and response.
