About Partner & Goal of the Project

Hariwan is a humanitarian, non-governmental, non-profit, and politically independent organization, established in 2017 by a group of volunteers with the idea of providing support to the community and addressing the needs, that emerged immediately after the ISIS conflict in 2014 and the need for IDPs communities, the fundamental value of the organization is pursuing sustainable and safe environment for everybody regardless their religion, ethnic background, gender, age, and disabilities with strong value-based management working in the sectors of protection, Livelihood, education, social cohesion, and peacebuilding, Climate Change, Youth empowerment, and Women empowerment..

Goal of the project: ” The Strengthening the Role of Women in Democratic Development and Peace Building through Advocating and Lobbying the Legislation of UN 1325 and NAP” project will contribute to; Developing the conducting of UN1325 agenda related to WPS through survey and the responses to this issue in Iraq’s National Action Plan on the Implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda which will address issue of non-inclusion of women during implementation civic related activities.
