GYM Activity of Dak Organization
Dak Organization conducts GYM Sports Activities for 20 women and Girls from IDPs and the Host Community; through this Course, women have been registered in GYM to practice sport workout and strengthen their fitness and well-being. This Course is conducted for two months in two locations (Shariya and Bashiqa).
This activity is part of the project “Strengthening the Role of minority women in Implementing the Women, peace, and security agenda” within the “Women’s Voice First” program in partnership with Cordaid and funded by UKaid.
Aim of the Course:
The course aims to increase their awareness and self-confidence, improve physical and weight management, enhance mental health, and increase social cohesion. Most importantly, they will learn how to care for themselves, be healthier, love themselves, organize their time and increase their physical and psychological strength.
In addition, giving women an outlet to participate and engage in society, increase women’s self-confidence, and maintain physical fitness because sport is an essential element in reducing the incidence of diseases and maintaining the ideal weight to prevent the body from being overweight and having body problems. As part of the activity, women participants will be involved in awareness sessions related to 1325 and the WPS agenda to increase their awareness about this critical topic.
