AOO: Capacity Building for Religious Leaders in Diyala.

Accepting Others Organization (AOO) is pleased to announce the successful implementation of the Cyber Security Education Awareness Raising Sessions for female students in Diyala, Iraq. The aim of the project was to raise awareness about Technology Facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) and provide the students with the necessary skills to protect themselves against online threats.

The project was funded by Cordaid, and a total of 30 female students aged between 14-17 from Ba’quba, Al-Muqdadiya, Khanaqin, Kifri, and Balad Ruz participated in the five awareness-raising sessions. The sessions were designed to educate the students on the potential dangers of the internet and social media platforms and provide them with the tools to recognize and avoid risks.

The training sessions covered topics such as the importance of privacy, digital footprint, identity theft, online harassment, and cyberbullying. The students were also taught how to report incidents of online harassment and who to contact for support. The sessions were interactive and engaging, allowing the students to participate in discussions and share their experiences.

The Cyber Security Education Awareness Raising Sessions were successful in achieving their objectives, and the students showed a positive response towards the project. AOO is proud to have been a part of this initiative, which promotes safe and secure internet usage, and we hope that the students will continue to apply the knowledge they gained to their online activities.
